Case Study
Friday to Monday: An Investor Microsite Built Over One Weekend
The Organization
Boutique marketing firm (confidential)
A boutique marketing firm called on a Friday needing a microsite for a real estate development client by Monday. The first draft went back on June 8: two pages, six custom blocks, built on our custom WordPress theme.

The Challenge
Boutique marketing firm (confidential)
The firm called on Friday, June 5. Their real estate development client needed a microsite for a brand awareness campaign, and investors would be looking at it on Monday.
Nothing about that fits a normal project schedule. Discovery, wireframes, two rounds of design review, staging review: the calendar had room for none of it. The question was not whether the timeline was reasonable. It was whether the site would exist.
The Solution
Two pages, six custom blocks, and a theme that was already built
We work on a custom theme built on Twenty Twenty-Five, so the layout system, the type scale, and the color system exist before a project starts. That is the part that makes a weekend possible; the alternative is designing a site and building a site in the same 72 hours, which is how weekend projects turn into Wednesday projects.
Six custom blocks were written for what this campaign specifically needed, and the two pages were assembled from them. The first draft went back to the firm on Monday, June 8. What followed was a few rounds of light client edits rather than rebuilds, because the structure held.
The Result
Launched on schedule, and the firm is coming back
The site launched as planned. The firm’s client was happy with it, the campaign went out on the date it was booked for, and the firm has said it will call again next time something like this lands on its desk. Two pages, six custom blocks, one weekend.
